Meet Leo! Leo came to us after someone reached out about a cat who had been left behind when his previous owners moved away. Despite his sweet nature, Leo proved tricky to catch—but as his health started to decline, we knew time was running out. After a month of trying, we were finally able to trap him, and it couldn’t have come soon enough. He arrived in rough shape: a terrible upper respiratory infection, badly matted fur, and clearly exhausted from fending for himself. But Leo never gave up—and neither did we. With months of love, care, and rest, Leo is finally healing. His coat is growing back, and his spark is returning. Leo is FeLV positive, which means his ideal home would be as a solo cat, or with another FeLV+ cat or even a dog companion. While cats with FeLV may have shorter lives, they can still live happy, love-filled years—and Leo is ready to do just that. He is endlessly affectionate and craves human connection. If he could be curled up in your lap or by your side 24/7, he would. We don’t know exactly how many years he has left—but we know he deserves to spend them being adored.
